Poinsettia Lace Ornament

Do you love Christmas Ornaments? Do you love Crochet-alongs? Then you've come to the right place.

Over the next five weeks, we will be crocheting brand new Christmas ornaments! One new pattern will be released every Friday, from now through December 2nd, right here on my blog!

First on the list is the Poinsettia Lace Ornament. It's super simple, quick to make, but still very beautiful. And it requires very little materials.

Let's get started:

*Red #2 or #3 Weight Yarn
*E/5/3.5mm crochet hook
*Gold Glitter Glue or Fabric Paint
*Optional: White craft glue

arnd = around
ch = chain
sc = single crochet

1. Ch 10, join to form a ring, 18 sc in ring, sl st to join
2. *(Ch 9, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, ch 7), sk 2 sc, sl st to next* arnd, sl st to join in 1st sc. Fasten.

*Block flower and allow to dry completely.
 Optional: Add one teaspoon of white craft glue to half cup of water before blocking, for  a stiffer finish (it  will dry clear).
*Place one flower over the other, off center, so that  the petals underneath show   between the petals on top.
*With glitter glue or fabric paint, paint dots around  the center of the flower (on the   scs).
*Add ornament hanger to the slip stitch of any petal of top flower.

I hope you've enjoyed this pattern! Let me know what you think in the comments. And don't forget to add it to your Ravelry favorites, so you can always find it!

Thank you for hooking up with me today!

  1. This is so cute and quick to do! Instead of making 2 of the flowers to put together, I just made smaller petals in a second layer around. :) Thank you for this little CAL, Sonya! :)
